Cryotherapy: Erase Dark Spots, Moles, Skin Tags

What is Cryotherapy?

High Precision Cryotherapy: Erases Dark Spots, Skin Tags, Moles, Milia and Other Skin Lesions in Seconds.

Cryotherapy is a non-invasive treatment that utilizes extreme cold temperature. The process involves precise rapid freezing of skin lesions to destroy unwanted growths or pigmentation marks on the skin. This includes dark spots, moles, skin tags and milia. The pen-like device used in this treatment is fully approved and licensed by Health Canada and deemed safe. The device releases Nitrous Oxide (N2O) in a precise manner to freeze the affected area. Cryotherapy does not require anesthesia! There is no downtime and it leaves no scars.

The treatment itself usually takes no more than a few minutes. The duration of the treatment depends on the number of treated lesions, the number of freeze-thaw cycles and the duration of freezing. All in all, it takes no more than 15 minutes before you are on your way out.

There is no downtime at all. You can resume your normal activities immediately after your treatment.

Precision cryotherapy is the safest way to remove unwanted benign skin lesions. This treatment is non-invasive and precise. The risk of scars and infections is significantly reduced when compared to other invasive treatments.

There is no limit on the number of lesions we can treat in one session.

Cryotherapy has been in use for over 100 years. It is the safest treatment today for the removal of skin lesions; however a few rare side effects may still occur. These side effects include:

  • Pigmentation – Although rare, temporary pigmentation is possible because melanocytes are more susceptible to sub-zero temperatures.
  • Blisters – Temporary blisters may appear in the lesion area due to fluids released from destroyed lesion cells.
  • Hair loss – like melanocytes, hair follicles are more susceptible to sub-zero temperatures. Hair follicles in the treated area are more likely to be affected, thus hair may not grow back in the area of the lesion after cryotherapy

Any new skin growths (especially moles) are potentially malignant and need to be checked by a dermatologist. Only stable lesions that are not evolving over time are suitable for this treatment. Consult with your doctor first to ensure your new mole is a non-malignant growth before considering this therapy.

Yes. This therapy is effective and safe for all skin tones and colours.

Precision cryotherapy is not a painful treatment. Unlike other treatments used to remove skin lesions, cryotherapy is a non-invasive treatment. It involves only minimal discomfort. It does not require anesthesia or stitches. This treatment is a quick treatment and has no downtime. It minimizes the risks of scars and other complications. No post-op care is needed.

Cryotherapy treats all varieties of common non-malignant skin lesions: warts, skin tags, moles, milia, dark spots, liver/age spots, keratosis, angiomas, fibromas, molluscum contagiosum and more. Please note that any types of malignant or suspicious growths need to be treated by a certified dermatologist.

Your lesions are expected to fall off 2-4 weeks after the treatment. Some are more persistent and may take a little longer to disappear

A majority of lesions require just a single treatment. Larger lesions, such as warts, may require 1-2 follow up treatments.
